Barbra took her first Bikram hot yoga class about twenty years ago. She later discovered Vinyasa and Barkan and fell in love with the new challenge. She loved the incorporation of upper body strength and variety. She completed her 200hr Barkan certification in November 2016. She has completed the first of three parts of level II Vinyasa training and hopes to someday get her 500hr certificate.
Barbra enjoys classes that challenge her to go outside her comfort level and hopes to inspire and teach students to grow in their practice as her teachers have inspired her.
Outside of yoga, Barbra keeps busy with her husband, three teenagers and their dog. She hopes to continue to learn and grow her own practice - especially her handstands - and bring that knowledge into her classes.

Julianna’s journey is best described as coming home to herself through the science and art of yogic tradition, and she hopes to serve as a lighthouse for others to find their own journey home. What began as an effort to get in shape, her exploration of yoga rapidly morphed in to the beautiful alignment of mind, body, and spirit - the spirit aspect kept her coming back for more. From hot practice to traditional vinyasa, Julianna couldn't get enough of the feeling of being at home in her own body and, more importantly, her own mind. Wanting to go deeper, she continued to research and participate in as many different styles of yoga and energy healing she could experience.
At first exposure, Julianna found Kundalini to be intimidating and almost too esoteric, even for her! But, a strategically placed street sign - following several other signs...of the universal variety - led her to Kundalini Yoga East and ultimately to the next phase of her journey. Before long she was immersing herself in teacher training.
Julianna thinks of kundalini as calisthenics for the soul. Through breath, movement, meditation, and the magnificent science of sound, kundalini promotes optimal conditions in mind, body and spirit, giving us access to our highest truth, and in turn, our highest potential. To Julianna, there is no greater joy in this life than that, except maybe sharing this practice with others, and she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to do so!
Sydney began practicing yoga when she was a child, and has been in love with the practice ever since. At 21 years old she decided to take her first Kundalini class and it resonated with her so strongly that she immediately began her KRI Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training.
During her training, she traveled to the sacred valley of Peru to practice under Master Teachers Jai Dev Singh and Simrit Kaur Khalsa for a transformative healing journey. She finds Kundalini Yoga to be so powerful because the combination of pranayama, asana, mantra and mudra are so highly effective at heightening your awareness and allowing you to see yourself as your true identity, your Sat Naam.
Sydney feels that the opportunity to share this practice with others is the highest blessing and is repeatedly honored and humbled each time she stands in front of a class.

Kristine's yoga journey started after a visit to Kripalu while attending Sierra Bender's Bootcamp for Goddesses Workshop. That workshop changed her life. In 2007 she received her 200 hour yoga certification at Sierra Bender Wholistic Yoga Therapy in Conneticut.
Her love for hot yoga and Kundalini yoga are her most recent passions. In 2015, she wanted to strengthen her own practice and the universe responded by putting the Healing Movement Advanced Yoga Teacher Training in her path at FTY&W. In December 2016, Kristine completed her 500 hour certification. She looks forward to sharing sacred space with all who cross her path.
Kate has been an avid practitioner of yoga since her 20s, when a scoliosis diagnosis left her with two choices: exercise or surgery. She chose exercise, and began working to improve her strength and skeletal alignment. In addition to weightlifting and Pilates, she practiced yoga based on the teachings of BKS Iyengar and has been moving to better alignment ever since.
Kate completed the 200hr Healing Immersion Yoga Teacher Training at Family Tree Yoga & Wellness, 35hr Yin Yoga Teacher Training at Integral Yoga Institute in NYC and 155hr Polarity Therapy Training at the Yoga Polarity Center in Malverne, NY. What began as a quest for knowledge became a spiritual and emotional journey, and she fell in love with yoga philosophy and the mind-body-spirit connection.
She believes in teaching how to build a solid foundation first - to become self-aware of how your life has affected your physical structure - and to apply yoga to prevent injuries, increase flexibility and stamina, and to invite wholeness and wellness through the joy of movement. In spite of - or perhaps because of - her alignment lineage, she believes that how a pose looks on the outside is irrelevant. What matter most is how the pose makes you feel on the inside.
